Mental health platform for Arabs in the Diaspora
There are 20 million Arabs among 150 million expats living outside the Arab world and their home countries, and mostly in western countries. When they have mental health issues they struggle with the search for a psychotherapist who understands Arabic and most importantly the culture and traditions. Arab Therapy’s mission is to digitalize mental health for minorities in the EU. In its first milestone, Arab Therapy connects minorities suffering from mental health issues with highly qualified psychotherapists.
At #HealthHumanTech Demo Day 2023, Tariq Dalbah presented Arab Therapy and shared their early-stage healthcare solution. Their mental health platform is being built for both Arabs and other expats living in Europe and facilitates a virtual meeting between the best doctor or psychologist for each patient.
Tariq shared at Demo Day:
“Online counselling will overtake offline counselling”
🟣 Online counselling adoption increased 63% in 2019-2020
🟣 CAGR of 31.8% in 2021-2028
