FreeMind – Bringing focus to your chaotic world
People with ADHD often have trouble focusing, get easily distracted, are hyperactive and have poor organizational skills. On average, an adult with ADHD in Germany has to wait for over two years to receive sufficient treatment. This leads to 90% being undiagnosed and untreated. FreeMind offers a screening tool to test the likelihood of ADHD, a strong doctor-led community with biweekly webinars and highly gamified self help courses to immediately kickstart the journey to a better life. The courses are based on cognitive behavioral therapy and target time management, organizational skills, regulating impulses and other ADHD pain points, but can also be used by those who simply want to optimize their life.
Lydia Dreyer began the presentation of FreeMind at Vision Health Pioneers Incubator Demo Day 2022 with a question. “Do you sometimes feel that when you concentrate on something that you find boring, that you can’t do it or that you get easily distracted?” This pondering opener set the scene for a pitch that included how ADHD can be measured and how FreeMind want to support those suffering. FreeMind summarised their presentation with the intention, “We want to find reliable business partners to enable us to help our patients help themselves.” The team were introduced onto the stage by Kristin Memm, a qualified German Attorney at Law, in all domains, and specialized in medical law & digital medicine and coach at Vision Health Pioneers Incubator.
