Emily, an entrepreneurial former scientist, serves as the Startup Relations Director at VentureBlick Europe. With more than 10 years of experience working in health tech businesses and management consultancy, her journey includes co-founding her own startup, an AI-powered tool connecting patients to oncology clinical trials
Throughout her career, Emily has worked alongside and within multiple healthcare startups, honing her expertise in evaluating new opportunities, crafting comprehensive strategies, and repositioning businesses for growth.
Emily is a recognised health tech industry thought leader, and she supports multiple organisations within the startup ecosystem as an advisor, mentor and invited speaker; including German Entrepreneurship, Techstars Berlin, Silicon Allee, Vision Health Pioneers, the Max Planck Institute, and AI Campus Berlin.
In addition to her responsibilities at VentureBlick, Emily is the founder of Halo Angel Group, a micro investment group that supports early-stage startups with diverse founding teams or impact-focused visions.
Emily holds a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Cambridge, where she was a Gates Cambridge Scholar. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude.
