Vision Health Pioneers Incubator is 100% funded by the European Social Fund and the State of Berlin. Being publicly funded means there is eligibility criteria to follow. Explore below what this means and whether you can apply.
For all team members intending to join the program (2 to 4 people per team):
You must be a resident of Berlin at the start of the program
You must have a valid visa that allows you to work in Germany
You must have a university degree or be in the process of graduating
You must not receive any other significant salaries during the 9-month program
The program must be your only full-time commitment for the 9 months
If you have already incorporated your idea you may still be able to apply. There are some important points to consider:
Ideally, you have not yet incorporated. If you have incorporated your company in Berlin, the trade license ('Gewerbeanmeldung') must not be older than 3 months on the day of your completed application
The company does not generate significant revenues
Your company must not have received significant equity investment that influences your full control over the company
You must not have received public or private subsidies or grants
If you have incorporated your company outside of Berlin (i.e. another country), you must relocate your team to Berlin
Prize-money from private and public competitions – regardless of the amount – is accepted
